At the beginning, a breakaway went off. On Havran, I set a fairly fast pace, even though I didn't feel completely fresh, and we caught the breakaway at the top. Finally, 25km before the finish, I managed to break away with two guys, and we built a considerable lead. We cooperated well and reached the finish, where I was the strongest. I'm very happy that I managed to win. I enjoyed the race, and if I have the chance, I'd love to race here again next time.
I felt well from the beginning. I liked elevations along the route and a straight level tracks. I was surprised by the level of organization and also the great atmosphere. I would like to compete again if it takes place again.
Sereďmarathon is for us from around Trnava, as a regional championship. We regard it as our home race and we are proud that it is such a quality event. We can see it in details like parking, registration, refreshments and results announcements. Everything is perfectly arranged and works well. The track is also interesting; personally, I always look forward to surviving the climb to the Havran in the middle of the race, on which my result depends. I also like training rides. Too bad "Sereď" is only once a year.
This is a great and well organized race. I am a manager of a medium-sized company and that is the reason why I have a little time for training and therefore I choose worthwhile races. I appreciate a quick registration dispatch, the service of a neutral race support mechanic vehicle during the race and on the route there are 2 refreshments including bananas, water, cookie, gels… I look forward to seeing my wife, tasty lunch and a rich raffle at the finish. The conclusion in a few words: I recommend this race; you will not regret it. :-)
Try and find out! These are the words that said those who have tried cycling Seredmarathon for several times to answer my question. Before the start is important the atmosphere and Sereď is a wonderful town so the whole race depends on it. People by the road with their children are holding clappers, clapping and cheering racers which is very appealing. This is wonderful experience indeed. Commendation for those who make this event. I look forward to the 15th year of this competition. I can´t wait for May 2020.
First of all, I have to comment organizational aspects of the whole race. From my point of view, the race was developing abnormally because I got 2 defects and had to catch up the peloton. Nevertheless, I won both the mountain and speed bonuses. Overall the ride was great. I felt I was up to scratch. This track is familiar for me so I know where to accelerate and where I am to save energy. Every year I enjoy this marathon, the atmosphere and lots of kilometres.
